Miriam is a Registered Psychologist whose focus is on facilitating growth and resilience in her clients. Miriam’s Doctoral Thesis explored the processes people employ to navigate adversity with meaning and purpose.

All of us experience transitions, grief and loss, or trauma. How do we find the courage and resilience to face our challenges? Miriam is a Registered Psychologist whose focus is on facilitating growth and resilience in her clients. Miriam’s Doctoral Thesis explored the processes people employ to navigate adversity with meaning and purpose.

Miriam’s special interest is working with mid-life and older adults as they find their way through competing demands and the transitions which occur in roles and relationships.

Miriam believes a good therapeutic relationship is built on openness, warmth, compassion and careful listening. She seeks to walk alongside people to help them discover fresh perspectives on their experience; this might enable them to consider new attitudes or make some different choices. Her approaches include Cognitive and Mindfulness modalities, Existential, Narrative and Internal Family Systems approaches, EMDR and EFT tapping.
